Basic Purpose
The Maintenance Mechanic 1 requires the ability to install, repair, and maintain facility equipment and machinery in order to maintain required production levels under minimal supervision.
Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery; perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly preventative maintenance on plant equipment and machinery as required per established PM programs and complete required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.

Troubleshoot equipment problems, identify root causes, and make repairs on production equipment.

Support production by ensuring the safe and proper operation, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment.

Generate, complete, and close work orders using a computerized maintenance management system.

Assist with established preventive maintenance activities and identify new opportunities for improvement.

Program Variable Frequency Drives or Servo motor drives.

Troubleshoot PLC programs and robotics equipment.

Accurately use, read and understand various precision instruments including, but not limited to meters, meggers, and Oscilloscopes.

Read and understand Maintenance Work Orders.

Must be willing to mentor and train existing and new maintenance employees.

Follow all Company safety rules and regulations including LOTO and wearing all required PPE

Maintains good housekeeping and follows established safety procedures.

Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.

Maintain awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.
Qualifications

Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Certification or equivalent experience in mechanical field

4 years prior maintenance experience

Knowledge of current OSHA, NEC, and ANSI standards

Working knowledge of variable frequency drives

Must be computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment with accuracy and integrity.

Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
-
Ability to perform maintenance functions above ground level from l' to 50'
-
Must be able to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop, or crouch for at least an 8-hour shift
-
Must be able to use hands, fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.
